Geomre is an italian noble-man, who comes from a highly respected and extremely wealthy family from Verona. He also has a serious condition of alcoholism, and he succeeded in losing his fortune at an early age. He has said:
”I’ve spent most of my money on booze, gambling and prostitutes. The rest of it, i’ve just wasted”.
With the last of his money, he bought a plane ticket to Mexico, where he ended up in Tijuana. There he put his childhood piano lessons in good use, and got a job as a pianist in a certain brothel, run by a certain woman named Juanita. He was paid in drink vouchers, and got a 20%-discount on the brothel services. There he spent a few years playing piano, drinking tequila, and exploring the secrets of manly love with a boy named Romanzo, who later became his fellow Disco Infernian. Nowadays their relationship is strictly platonic, but there remains a deep friendship, and Geomre says he owes a lot to Romanzo, who has also helped him control his alcohol problem.
